What is Hartford Live?

Hartford Live is a multi-year partnership between the City of Hartford and GoodWorks Entertainment bringing nationally-touring musical acts to the Old State House in downtown Hartford.

Is Hartford Live free?

YES! Admission to Hartford Live is FREE! No Ticket required.

Where is Hartford Live located?

Hartford Live is located at State House Square and the Old State House lawn between Main and Market Streets. For GPS, use 800 Main St, Hartford, CT (Old State House).

What time does the event start and end?

  • Gates open at 5:00 PM unless otherwise posted on the event page
  • Shows start around 6:00 PM and run until 9:00 PM

Where is the best place to park?

There are multiple parking lots walking distance from the Old State House parking near old state house hartford ct

Is there food and drink for purchase?

Yes! Hartford Live will have food trucks on site and there are a number of great dining options walking distance from the event. There are multiple bars at Hartford Live serving beer, wine, and hard seltzers. Click here to learn more about our great food and drink options.

Can I bring my own food and drink?

Non-alcoholic beverages in plastic, sealed containers are permitted. All personal water bottles must be empty prior to entering the concert.

Outside food is permitted.

Soft coolers are permitted.

All bags are subject to search.

Is there anything going on after the show?

Yes! We will be hosting After-Parties at Infinity Music Hall, just a short walk from the Old State House!

We’re coming from out of town or just want to make a night of it?

The Hartford Marriott Downtown (Book Your Group/Corporate Rate | Marriott International) and Hilton Hartford (Hilton Hartford Downtown Hotel Adjacent to the XL Center) are the preferred hotels of Hartford Live.

Is Hartford Live open to all ages?

Yes, the Hartford Live series is all ages

Can I bring a lawn chair or blanket?

Chairs and blankets are allowed unless otherwise noted in the concert page details. Chairs will only be allowed in designated seating areas and may be confiscated if they are placed outside of the designated seating location (typically behind the soundboard and select areas on the Old State House lawn)

Are cameras permitted?

Small handheld or personal cameras are allowed. Professional cameras of any kind are not permitted without a media pass.

Are dogs (or other pets) permitted?

Unfortunately, no dogs are allowed at Hartford Live.

What if it rains?

Hartford Live is a rain or shine event. For safety reasons concerts may be canceled in the case of severe weather (lightning, damaging winds, etc). Please follow us on Instagram and Facebook for any last minute updates or instructions.

What are Hartford Live’s alcohol policies?

Any guest who is deemed intoxicated upon arrival will not be permitted to enter

No outside alcohol or beverage of any kind is permitted within the concert facility

Anyone under the age of 21 who has alcohol on them will be removed from the site

Any adult who provides alcohol to someone under the age of 21 will be removed

Staff may ask for proof of age from anyone wishing to purchase alcohol

There will be a maximum of two drinks sold to any one person at one time

Anyone who staff believes to be intoxicated will be immediately removed

Attendee understands that at this event or related activities, they may be photographed. Attendee agrees to allow their photo, video, or film likeness to be used for any legitimate purpose by the event holders, producers, sponsors, organizers, and assigns.
